I'll explain later, but basically you never need to worry much about running out of studs in this game.įree Play mode takes you back to the same levels, but this time you can use any of the characters you have unlocked thus far. You need to do this at least once for a gold brick, but you should return to it in Free Play if you are ever low on studs and need to save up for a Red Brick or character, as it's basically a stud fountain. There is one additional level, "Dejarik Battle", which unlocks when you complete the story. Luckily the Invert Flight Controls toggle is on the main menu when you press. Sometimes the perspective switch will happen one after the other, which may cause confusion. In other sections, you will have full three-dimensional control of the ship within an arena. Some sections are on-rails, in which you direct the ship in 2D in the foreground (up, down, left and right) while the game drives your ship forward. ![]() If you do decide to play co-op, you'll be playing on a single screen which splits dynamically if the two characters travel far from each other, merging again when they are close.Īs with its predecessor, the on-foot segments are broken up relatively frequently by flying sections. The game is designed to work well in co-op - two characters are on screen at all times, with the second character either AI controlled or controlled by the second gamer. In order to progress past a certain segment, you may need to defeat several enemies, destroy or construct objects in the scenery or use a character's special abilities.
